Whiten Your Teeth

I thought I'd let you into a little secret. A simple and effective way of whitening your teeth.
Actually, it is pretty easy to whiten your teeth in the short term, from salt, chalk and charcoal, from baking soda to hydrated silica - all these substances whiten teeth. They "whiten" by removing the top layer of your tooth and exposing a new cleaner layer.
The problem however, is that they do so at the long term expense of your teeth health by "grating" or "sand-papering" away the protective enamel that surrounds the dentin of each tooth. This strategy may be useful as a periodic routine to give a whiter smile, but should not be used too regularly, for our teeth will become thinner, more fragile, structurally weaker and less immune to cavities.
The solution for a daily whitening routine is simple: Oil pulling is a oral practice that dates back to the early ancestry of Ayurvedic medicine.
Much has been documented regarding its effect not just on oral health but on the improvements it can impart to the entire body, it truly is a hidden gem. But in simple regards to teeth whitening Oil Pulling does 4 things:
1) It helps to pull out toxins from the gums which can stain teeth.
2) It assists in expelling mucous and phelgm which can contribute to staining around the gum line.
3) It helps to remove deeply embedded debris that have been secretly lodged in between teeth and the gum line.
4) AND most importantly (hence the bold): the lipids of the oil help to literally draw out many of the stains in the enamel, which can not be washed out by water alone. This is becuase many stains are fat soluble only, that means they are unlikley to be removed, unless oil is present to extrude them out. The swishing proces of Oil Pulling works wonders here.
HOW?
All you need is an organic, cold-pressed oil. From olive oilsesameflaxsea buckthornvirgin coconut, or sunflower oil, your main goal, to begin with, is to find a high quality oil that you can use on a daily basis
First thing in the morning on an empty stomach is best to do Oil Pulling, but if another time works better for you, that’s fine. Take about 1 tablespoon of oil in the mouth, and swish it through the teeth gently, not vigorously, in a comfortable way, for 5-15 minutes. Don’t simply swish side to side, but back and forth in the way you might do with mouthwash.
If you have the urge to swallow, exhale slowly (through the nose!) and continue breathing slowly until the urge passes. If you really need to swallow, go ahead and swallow just from the back of the throat, keeping the oil in the front of your mouth.
If it becomes too unpleasant, spit out and try again another day. It can be a bit unpleasant at first when you’re not used to it, but soon won’t be bothersome at all, just like brushing your teeth.
When the oil has become saturated with the toxins it has pulled out, it will become somewhat whitish and a thinner, milky consistency, depending on the type of oil used. Each time you oil pull, it can take a different amount of time to get to that point, so 15 minutes is a general rule of thumb, but you can experiment with this.
1. Hydrogen peroxide works as a great teeth whitening aid in reducing yellow spots in your teeth. All you have to do is make a paste with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, preferable diluted hydrogen peroxide, and apply the mixture to your teeth once in a while to get back those white teeth of yours in no time. Hydrogen peroxide works as a bleaching agent that cleanses your teeth, and gives back its natural glow without any real harm to the teeth. But make sure that you do not apply this solution daily- after all this is a chemical solution and you do not want to expose your teeth to it everyday.

2. The next tip is pretty common, yet you tend to overhear this- quit smoking. Not only the nicotine in cigarettes puts a black layer over your teeth, but it also ruins you r lungs. So quit smoking today for the overall wellbeing of your body and teeth.

3. Table salt and lemon juice acts as fantastic solutions to get rid of yellow stains in your teeth. So a great idea would be to make a mixture of these and use your brush to gently apply the mixture twice daily. Both salt and lemon juice is harmless, and there can be nothing you should be worried about.

4. Another great way to naturally remove yellow stains from your teeth is to use orange peels which are fantastic for teeth whitening. The next time you eat an orange, do not throw away the peel. Apply the inner white side of the peel to you teeth, and within only a few days, you will start seeing results. Today people almost ignore the tremendous power of natural substances that can be used to cure many diseases. They instead go for the quick fix. But if you try this solution, you will truly be surprised with the results.

5. Use a gum massager. Healthy gums equals to healthy teeth, so make sure you prevent the occurrence of plaque. Yellow stains are often the early symptoms of plaque, so need to be very careful here.

6. Avoid coffee and tea as much as you can. Even if you cannot resist a few sips everyday, make sure to immediately rinse your mouth with water.

7. Go, see a dentist. Nothing can beat safety, which means periodic visits to the dentist. Your teeth are a vital contributor towards your overall look, so do not hesitate to spend this little amount of money on a dentist.

Whenever a person smiles, it is a welcome feature in general. However, to find an answer for how to improve a beautiful smile like many Hollywood celebrities, one has to naturally think on the lightening the color of teeth structures in a significant manner. There are many teeth whitening options for people who want to acquire such kinds of beautiful smile in their faces.

Persons may choose in-office techniques that need a dentist to supervise the whitening processes. During such procedures, the dentist often provides practical tips to enrich the oral hygiene in the concerned patient. Beautiful smile can be achieved by applying even homemade techniques during the whitening of teeth structures.

Surgery options to achieve a better and beautiful smile

involves usage of special kind of light like laser light to heat-fix the concerned teeth whitening material that has some kinds of abrasive or bleaching material in that. More care is taken during surgery that involves removal of some plaque in a more careful manner before whitening. Some surgeons think of cosmetic surgery to bring out a beautiful smile in a person's face by correcting the direction of tooth structure before the actual whitening processes. Hence, in such persons willing to have a beautiful smile, the whitening will be done after the surgical correction of teeth growth and the patient has to wait for some time as prescribed by the surgeon.

Whether it is the surgical option or natural measures one is adapting in the process of bringing out a beautiful smile, the procedures need to be carefully and systematically carried out without any kind of omissions. If not, the specific purpose will be lost in such persons who want to achieve beautiful smile. Some times, in order to have a beautiful smile, persons will add one teaspoon of table salt to three teaspoons of baking soda and then thoroughly mix them before applying on the teeth structures. This type of application on teeth will be carried out two to three times in a week period in the home. Some persons willing to have a beautiful smile may use raw vegetables to bite often and such activities help to clean the teeth. Even hard wood ashes are being used for the teeth whitening purposes and it is the potassium in the wood ash that is responsible to clean the teeth in such occasions and thereby to assist the achieving of a beautiful smile in a person's face.

like to worry about dental health, but it’s not something I get into with patients. I take care of the health side as I go along, but my main focus is on getting the aesthetic results they’re looking for. Cosmetic dentistry controls the lower third of your face. Your soft tissue, your lips, your skin, the tip of your nose, and how you want to present yourself. It’s probably the least invasive way to get the biggest results for you aesthetically, without going under the knife and without any major disruptions to your life.

How fast can patients see results?

What I do is done in five days here in Dubai and a week in New York, and at no point are you hiding behind closed doors to heal. So, from day one, you’ll look better and feel better, you’ll be able to preview what the final result is. You’re in something called ‘temporaries’ for a week where you have a very visual idea of what everything looks like. With plastic surgery, they can explain it to you, but you really can’t see it for weeks until you heal.

Look at a person’s face, from when they’re 20 to when they’re 70, and you’ll see how much asymmetry happens in their face. Facial Aesthetic Design is really a way of figuring out where asymmetries lie with patients and learning how to bring back that symmetry.

Beauty is equated to symmetry, so symmetrical faces photograph and appear more beautiful. The idea is, not to create symmetrical teeth, but teeth that bring about symmetry in the face. That could mean building the back of the teeth up to give you height in the lower part of your face, or it could mean pushing the teeth out to give you a fuller upper lip.

Jessica Alba has a great face and her teeth work really well for her face. Everyone used to love Julia Roberts’ smile but as she’s gotten older, her teeth have started to age and her face is starting to look different as a result and that’s a perfect example of the wear and tear your teeth suffer.

How does Facial Aesthetic Design work?

Why is symmetry so important?

Which celebrities do you think have a great set of teeth, and therefore a beautiful face?

There is a common belief today about cavities that once you have tooth decay, that cavity can NOT be reversed or healed. Then the only solution is to have part of your tooth drilled out and filled with a synthetic material.
But according to a study published in the British Medical Journal cavities and tooth decay could potentially be healed or reversed with diet.
A study was performed on 62 children with cavities and they were divided into three different diet groups.  Group 1 ate a standard diet plus oatmeal (rich in phytic acid).  Group 2 consumed their normal diet and supplemented with vitamin D.  Group 3 ate a grain-free diet and took vitamin D.
The results found that group 1 who had a diet high in grains and phytic acid had an increase in cavities. Group 2 had improvements in cavities and less form. Group 3 who followed a grain-free diet rich in vegetables, fruits, meat, milk and took vitamin D saw the greatest improvements in which nearly all cavities healed.
This study along with the backing of many doctors and dentists is proving we have been misinformed about what causes cavities and if they can truly be reversed.
Dentist Ramiel Nagel who authored the book Cure Tooth Decay has helped many of his patients “reverse” their tooth decay and would rather not put in fillings. He believes that you can prevent and heal cavities with nutrition.
In this article I am going to go over the causes of tooth decay and how it may be prevented and in many cases even reversed.

The Cause of Tooth Decay

To understand the link between diet and tooth decay we must start with one of the most well-respected dentists who ever lived Weston A. Price.
West A. Price lived in the early 1900’s and was the chairman of the National Dental Association (1914-1923), and a pioneer for the ADA.
Weston Price traveled the world searching to discover what causes tooth decay. Dr. Price found a common link between eating modern foods and cavities. He witness that many indigenous isolated tribes had perfect teeth and little tooth decay. But once they were exposed to a western diet they experienced tooth decay, bone loss and chronic illness.
According to the American Dental Association this is the cause of tooth decay:
“[Tooth decay] occurs when foods containing carbohydrates (sugars and starches) such as milk, pop, raisins, cakes or candy are frequently left on the teeth. Bacteria that live in the mouth thrive on these foods, producing acids as a result. Over a period of time, these acids destroy tooth enamel, resulting in tooth decay.”
But the truth is the ADA is only hitting on 1 of the 4 things that could contribute to tooth decay.
According to the insights of Dr. Edward Mellanby, Dr. Weston Price and Dr. Ramiel Nagel there are 4 main things that contribute to tooth decay:
  1. Lack of minerals in the diet (calcium, magnesium and phosphorus)
  2. Lack of fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) (especially D)
  3. Too much consumption of Phytic Acid rich foods
  4. Too much consumption of processed sugar
Let’s discuss the 4 aspects that cause tooth decay and how they can be addressed with diet.

How to Reverse Cavities Naturally

Don’t be fooled, there in addition to brushing and flossing daily, there are several ways you can reverse cavities and maximizes your oral health without resorting to taking in fluoride. Here are just a few for you to consider:
Removing Sugar – Probably the worst culprit of them all for anyone who desires healthy, cavity-free teeth, sugar should be avoided like the plague. Not only does sugar feed oral bacteria that prevents a healthy flow of dental fluids, it is highly acidic and can literally decalcify or demineralize the structural content of teeth that create dental decay.
This means staying away from soda, candy, and baked goods with sugar. Additionally, use raw honey and maple syrup and drink juices sparingly as too much sugar can contribute to cavity formation. Be careful of artificial sweeteners because of their health risks as well. Bottom line: Make stevia your new best friend along with raw honey in moderation!
Removing Phytic Acid – Phytic acid (phytate) is a mineral blocker and enzyme inhibitor found in grains, nuts, seeds and beans which can serious health problems in our diets. The main reason phytic acid has become an issue today is because we have stopped ancient food preparation techniques such as sprouting or sourdough fermentation which kills off the phytic acid.

According to research published in the The Lancet a diet high in phytic acid will create mineral deficiencies and cause osteoporosis.
80% of phosphorus in grains and beans is bound to phytic acid so it is completely un-absorbable. In addition to blocking phosphorus availability in humans, these molecules bind minerals necessary for oral health such as calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc; thus, causing them to be unavailable for proper utilization. Consuming foods high in phytic acid decreases magnesium absorption by 60% and zinc by 20%.
Phytic acid not only doesn’t allow you to absorb in minerals in your food, it also leaches minerals out of your body, bones and teeth!
Subsequently, the powerful anti-nutritional effects of phytic acid have been known to cause digestive disorders, lack of appetite, nutrient deficiencies, and tooth decay. A good rule of thumb is to limit your grain consumption and stay completely clear from unfermented soy products. Because phytic acid is much higher in foods grown using modern high-phosphate fertilizers than those grown in natural compost, try to only eat foods that are organic and GMO-free.

If you are aiming to improve your health and reverse cavities, foods high in phytic acid like grains, beans, nuts and soy should be avoided. However, if you soak grains or nuts and then sprout them or do sourdough fermentation you can reduce phytic acid by around 50 – 100%.
Raw Dairy and Nutrient Rich Foods – Raw dairy is filled with the vitamins and minerals that contribute to a healthy dental fluid flow and help maintain strong teeth. Loaded with calcium, vitamin K2, vitamin D3, magnesium, phosphorus, and fat-soluble vitamins it is a good idea to consume raw dairy products at least weekly. I recommend goat’s milk kefir, raw cheeses and organic grass-fed butter are great options.
Remember, if you’re going to beat tooth decay, you need to increase your fat soluble vitamin intake and mineral intake. If I were creating an ideal diet to follow, it would look like this:
  • Rich in animal foods like bone broth, meat, fish and eggs.
  • Raw and cooked vegetables especially green leafy vegetables.
  • Raw dairy like kefir, cheese and grass-fed butter
  • Fruit one piece daily early in day
  • High vitamin D – get plenty of sunshine and days not in sun supplement with 5,000IU daily of D3.
  • Foods high in healthy fat like coconut oil, avocado, olives and fish or fermented cod liver oil.
  • Fermented grains only and in moderation such as true sourdough bread (or even better no grains at all). You can buy raw flours and breads here: bluemountainorganics.com and wisechoicemarket.com
  • Nuts, seeds and beans only that have been sprouted. You can find sprouted nuts and seeds at: bluemountainorganics.com.
  • Finally, NO processed food, packaged food or fast food.
Mineralizing Tooth Paste – First of all, I know it can get expensive, but there are several brands of fluoride-free toothpaste that you won’t have to pay a small fortune to get your hands on. Second, if you’re looking to save a buck or two and also want to remineralize your teeth in a particularly powerful way, try making your own!
Oil Pulling – Used for centuries by Ayurvedic medicine, oil pulling is a fantastic oral detoxification procedure that has gained some popularity in the U.S. the last several years. Simply done by swishing a tablespoon of oil in your mouth for 20 minutes, this simple process has been praised to cure everything from gingivitis to headaches to systemic diseases like diabetes!
If you can’t do 20 minutes, 3-5 minutes is still good. I recommend using coconut oil or MCT Oil and a drop or two of clove and/or tea tree essential oils for maximal antiseptic and antifungal power. Here are some tips:
  • The best time to oil pull (like most other detoxification procedures) is first thing in the morning right after you get out of bed.
  • Don’t let the 20 minutes time frame deter you. You won’t even notice 20 minutes have gone by if you do this during your normal morning routine (i.e. while you shower, put your clothes on and prep for the day).
  • Immediately afterwards, rinse your mouth out with warm water. Use salt water for added antimicrobial properties.
  • Don’t be shocked if the oil/saliva mixture you spit out is milky white or yellow.
  • Finally, brush your teeth as normal.
Note: This should be a relative relaxing process, so don’t feel compelled to vigorously swish your mouth with oil for the entire time or else you’re bound to get sore jaw muscles. Simply and gently move the oil in your mouth and through your teeth without swallowing any of it.
In a nutshell, these are the best ways to naturally reverse cavities. Take charge of your oral wellness today and show off your new, healthy smile with pride!

My remineralizing toothpaste is one of my most visited posts and I’ve gotten a lot of emails from people who have switched and love it. After my husband and I both remineralized our teeth and reversed cavities, I’m definitely a convert to natural toothpastes and a supportive diet.
The only downfall to my homemade toothpaste is that i can leave a residue on sinks and there can be some concerns with the coconut oil if you have a septic system (as we do).
I’ve also recently discovered the many benefits of healing clays and wanted to figure out how to incorporate this into our oral health regimen, but there were some definite texture issues with the clays and coconut oil.
I wondered if a healing tooth powder would work and I couldn’t be happier with the results. It is easier to make than the toothpaste and you can use actual powdered herbs and spices instead of the essential oils which saves money. I’ve recently started using a mix of this and OraWellness Brushing Blend and my teeth have never felt cleaner (and are continuing to whiten!).

Why Tooth Powder?

The main ingredient in this tooth powder is Bentonite Clay, which I’ve recently become a huge fan of. Not only does it bind to and draw out heavy metals and toxins (a huge plus for the mouth!), but it is alkaline and full of minerals.

It can be taken internally to help with toxin removal so it is safe for use in the mouth and it contains calcium, magnesium and silica which are nourishing for the teeth! According to Mountain Rose Herbs:
Bentonite is very unusual in the fact that once it becomes hydrated, the electrical and molecular components of the clay rapidly change and produce an “electrical charge”. Its highest power lies in the ability to absorb toxins, impurities, heavy metals and other internal contaminants. Bentonite clay’s structure assists it in attracting and soaking up poisons on its exterior wall and then slowly drawing them into the interior center of the clay where it is held in a sort of repository.
To state it another way…
Bentonite is a swelling clay. When it becomes mixed with water it rapidly swells open like a highly porous sponge. From here the toxins are drawn into the sponge through electrical attraction and once there, they are bound.
It is also extremely gentle and has a milder taste for kids. I also use Bentonite Clay for facial masks, healing poultices and when drying hair naturally to keep color on.
The other ingredients are supportive of the mouth as well:
  • Baking soda is alkaline and contains minerals. It also helps remove stains.
  • Calcium powder provides extra calcium and magnesium to provide minerals and whiten.
  • Cloves powder is naturally antibacterial and gives a great taste.
  • Cinnamon is also antibacterial, tastes great and helps discourage bacterial growth in the mouth.
  • Mint tastes great and is soothing to the gums.
  • Xylitol- completely optional and adds sweetness.

Remineralizing Tooth Powder Recipe
Natural homemade tooth powder supports oral health naturally without chemicals or additives using herbs and essential oils.
Author:
Recipe type: Remedy
Ingredients
  • 4 Tablespoons Bentonite Clay
  • 3 Tablespoons Calcium powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking soda (optional)
  • 2 Tablespoons Powdered Mint Leaf (optional, or can use essential oil)- Powder in blender, food processor or coffee grinder.
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon Powder (or this kind)
  • 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of Cloves powder
  • 1 Tablespoon (or more to taste) Xylitol Powder
  • Essential oils for taste- completely optional but Peppermint, Spearmint and Cinnamon are good. I buy mine from Mountain Rose Herbs.
Instructions
  1. Mix the ingredients in a bowl or pint size mason jar and store in a small glass jar with a lid. We actually have a separate small glass jar for each family member since we dip our toothbrushes in it. Mix with a spoon or shake to incorporate ingredients. This recipe makes about ¾ cup of tooth powder which lasts us for months. You can adjust the recipe up or down (Use teaspoons instead of tablespoons for smaller amounts).
  2. This will last indefinitely on the counter since there are no liquid ingredients and all of the ingredients naturally discourage bacterial growth. You can customize the powder to your taste and all of the herbal ingredients are optional. Bentonite or baking soda would actually work alone or together as a tooth powder, this one just tastes great. You could also add more cloves, mint and cinnamon for an even more concentrated powder. This type of cinnamon has a higher concentration of beneficial oils and tastes sweeter.

How to Use:

Wet the toothbrush (I use a Bass brush from OraWellness since it is super gentle on the gums and cleans better) and dip into the powder. I also add a few drops of OraWellness Brushing Blend. Brush using the Bass Brushing Technique until teeth are clean. Rinse with cool water. Can be used daily (or multiple times daily) and is fine for adults and kids.

My Oral Health Regimen:

My teeth have never been whiter or healthier (according to my dentist) thanks to my oral health regimen. It includes a healthy diet that supports oral health and a specific brushing regimen. This is what I do daily (that reversed cavities for both my husband and me):

I’m certain that everyone desires that their teeth to be one or two shades whiter. This is why I’m forging this post as the best resource for those who want to naturally Whiten their teeth…This round-up is a collection of the greatest guides on natural teeth Whitening solutions…. These techniques are all natural, they involve no harmful or toxic chemicals and are amazingly cheap and easy to make..

All the chemical additives and artificial sweeteners in the regular mouthwash are of no good, but often “natural” mouthwash brands disappoint me too. Either they aren’t such natural, not really useful or irrationally costly. So for a few years, I’ve been improving my homemade mouthwash recipe and why not sharing it with you.

What do I Seek for in a Homemade Mouthwash?
  1. Protection from cavities.
  2. Sweet and Minty.
  3. Whitens and remineralizes
So with these 3 elements in mind, I played with ingredients till I obtained a recipe that senses good and does exactly what I want it to do. Here’s what I’ve invented:

Ingredients:

Directions:
  1. In a large mixing cup, mix together the xylitol crystals and calcium powder.
  2. Add essential oils and liquid minerals.
  3. Pour water and stir.
  4. Empty mixture into a glass bottle.
  5. fasten the lid firmly and shake ingredients together for about 30-60 seconds so the xylitol dissolves.
  6. Shake well anytime you want to use.
  7. Keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Another very simple method of making your own mouthwash that is not only extremely cheap but also chemical free.

When it comes to oral health around the world, the most common problems are tooth decay and cavities. Although they are most commonly seen in the elderly, teenagers, and children, anyone can get a cavity at any age.

Tooth decay is defined as the demineralization and destruction of the tooth’s hard tissues because of a bacterial infection. Cavities which are also known as caries, are holes that form on a tooth because of untreated tooth decay.

Risk factors of tooth decay include poor oral hygiene, eating foods that stick to your teeth for an extended period of time, frequent snacking, dry mouth, or worn out fillings and dental devices. People who have eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia may also have serious dental issues because of excessive purging.

Toothaches, tooth sensitivity, pain while eating or drinking, visible holes, and tooth discoloration are all symptoms of tooth decay and cavities. These symptoms will vary depending on the severity and type of problem. If left untreated, cavities can lead to worsening symptoms, infection, or tooth loss.

The most important thing that you can do for your teeth is to take good care of them by brushing your teeth twice every day for at least two minutes each time. It’s best to brush once in the morning and then again before you go to bed. You should also floss and clean your tongue once a day.

In addition to regularly brushing your teeth, there are a number of natural home remedies that you can use to help prevent and treat tooth decay and cavities.

1. Clove

Clove is easily one of the best things to have to help treat dental problems. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and analgesic properties that will help alleviate any pain and keep the cavity from getting worse.

To use, add 2 - 3 drops of clove oil to 1/4 teaspoon of sesame seed oil. Then, add a few drops of that mixture onto a cotton ball and apply it to the affected tooth. Repeat every night before going to bed. It is important to note that clove should be used as a temporary relief, so try not to use too much of it too often.

2. Salt

Salt is another tooth treatment option that has both antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It can also help with inflammation, pain, and bacterial growth as well as being able to draw out infections.

To use, dissolve 1 teaspoon of salt into a full glass of warm but not hot water. Then swish the solution around your mouth for 1 full minute, focusing on the affected tooth. Do this 3 times per day. You can also choose to make a paste by mixing 1/2 teaspoon of salt with lemon juice or mustard oil. Massage this solution onto the gums, allow it to sit for 2 - 3 minutes and then thoroughly rinse out your mouth with warm water. This can be repeated twice per day.

3. Oil Pulling

This is a dental practice that has been used for hundreds of years to treat cavities, bad breath, and bleeding gums. It can also help rid your mouth of harmful bacteria that are the cause of many dental problems.

To use this method, put a tablespoon of sesamesunflower, or coconut oil in your mouth. Gently swish it around in your mouth for about 20 minutes. Then, spit out the oil and use warm water to rinse out your mouth. You can use salt water if you want extra antimicrobial effects. You can then brush your teeth as usual. Oil pulling should be done first thing in the morning before you eat.

4. Garlic

Garlic has a number of strong antibiotic and antibacterial effects and can greatly help with tooth decay and cavities in addition to helping reduce pain and improving gum and tooth health. There are also a number of other health benefits that garlic has beyond oral health.

To use, make a paste by mixing 3 - 4 crushed garlic gloves with 1/4 teaspoon of rock salt. Apply the paste to the affected tooth and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Then, rinse our your mouth with warm water. To reduce cavities, you can do this two times a day for several weeks. For fast relief from pain caused by a cavity, garlic oil can be rubbed directly onto an affected tooth.

5. Turmeric

This powder has analgesic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties for cavities. It can also help prevent tooth decay and cavities by killing harmful bacteria.

To use, apply a small amount of turmeric powder directly onto the affected tooth. Allow it to sit for 2 - 3 minutes before rinsing your mouth out well with warm water. You can also use it to create a paste by mixing 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder with a small amount of mustard oil. The paste can then be massaged into the teeth and gums, left on for 10 minutes, and then rinsed out. Both methods should be used once or twice daily for best results.
